			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I didn&#8217;t keep track of my calories over the weekend&#8211;since I had a fair amount of mouth-watering BBQ&#8211;but we did try to make some healthy options to go along with it and tried not to overdo it.</p>
<p>I also swam for a while on Saturday (not a cardio swim, but I&#8217;m sure I burned some calories) and had a reeeeeeeeeally good workout at the gym on Sunday.</p>
<p>Exercise: 30 min. elliptical, 15 min. bike, 100 crunches, and 40 additional minutes of chest, biceps, and back.</p>

<p>We left the house around 9:30 a.m. and headed up to Solvang, where we enjoyed the Danish architecture and shops&#8211;but the true purpose was to head to Paula&#8217;s Pancake House to devour its famous Danish pancakes. They were delicious, and definitely worth the trek up north. The additional biscuits and gravy I ordered, hash browns I snaked from Michelle, and fries I sampled from Alyssa and Mya were also fabulous. In fact, Michelle said her omelette was the best omelette she&#8217;d ever had. Yes, Paula&#8217;s Pancake House is yummy.</p>
<p>After eating we walked around Solvang a bit before hopping back in the car to head to Ojai&#8211;to EAT. But, at least we took the scenic route.</p>
<p>Once in Ojai, we visited Boccali&#8217;s, a little Italian restaurant with a dirt parking lot. Boccali&#8217;s is where baby J got his first taste of pizza crust, and it&#8217;s home to an awesome tractor that had become one with the earth many years ago.</p>
<p>I wouldn&#8217;t recommend the pizza&#8211;I&#8217;m a die-hard New York-style fan&#8211;but the strawberries in the strawberry shortcake couldn&#8217;t have been redder, and the cake was made from scratch. If you want to feel like you&#8217;re as far away from Los Angeles as you can get, Boccali&#8217;s is your place. It was beautiful! Plus, there&#8217;s even an avocado/orange stand right outside that&#8217;s based on the honor system.</p>
<p>After a long day in the car (even though we weren&#8217;t driving&#8211;woohoo!), we headed home to watch a movie&#8211;and finish off the rest of the pizza. Mmmmmm&#8230;</p>
